Fall Hues in the Hills

I want to start off by saying I'm sorry it has been awhile since I've posted a LookBook on Shea Anything. Los Angeles, school, and friends have officially consumed my life! I'm not complaining but I have been missing writing on my blog! So I'm getting my life together and will hopefully be back posting once a week. Now that I'm done venting to you all, let's now get to the outfit! As we all know suede is currently trending this fall and so is lace-up attire and mid calf boots! I fell in love with this dress and bought it even though it was two sizes too big. We are all guilty of this shopping misbehavior. But I was dedicated on making it work so I matched my oversized dress with a brown belt. It doesn't get to cold in Los Angeles but we all still want to have the fall vibe going on in our outfits. When in doubt go monochrome. Hope you enjoy this look and check below where you could get some of the same items!

The High Neckline

A very modest trend is among us and it is the high neckline ladies. This style is very classic and will make you look put together with little effort. Not only are high necklines flattering on many body types, they can be styled to look many different ways. The high neckline is featured on many different garments such as tank tops, dresses, t-shirts, blouses, and of course the turtleneck. Whether your style is edgy, classic, girly, or preppy high necklines can work for you. This trend is versatile and classic, so it can always have a place in your closet. Below are some inspirations boards and some outfits I created on Polyvore so you ladies can get inspired to try this classic trend! Enjoy lovelies!

A Day in Denver

Fall is my favorite time of year. It is when oversized sweaters, trench coats, and boots come out to play for a couple of months. I am originally from Denver, Colorado and this past week I went home for fall break. Wanting to revisit my hometown and walk around downtown Denver, I decided to dress casual with an oversized turtle neck sweater, a leather mini skirt, and my comfortable black boot wedges. This outfit was perfect for the transition from summer to fall because it's still warm enough to show some legs but cold enough to have the fall vibe going on in your outfit. This sweater was a new purchase which I'm very excited about because it is featuring a kimono sleeve which is one of my favorite DNA's. This blog post I waned to show you guys some pictures of where I'm from so you can see a little bit of my background before I made the move to sunny Los Angeles about year ago. I hope you enjoy your trip throughout downtown Denver lovelies and check below where you could get some of the same items!

The Minimalist

The fashion world has a new focus on clean lines, structured shapes, and neutral colors. When it comes to looking stylish, the minimalist trend is the fashion forward option. The saying, "less is more" is really coming into play this season. When it comes to looking chic or sophisticated, simplicity is key - but don't confuse that with boring. Keep your color palette simple, with neutral grays, blacks, whites and nudes. This trend is exciting due to the architectural and structural shapes of each garment. In my opinion this is one of my favorite trends! Think trench coats, wide leg trousers, tailored jackets, the simple draped tank, or the matching loose-fitted two piece suit. The minimalist trend encourages us fashion lovers to focus on the cut, quality, and design of a garment. We are able to witness the beautiful lines, texture, and powerful structure within the clothes that speak for themselves. Investing in staple pieces are always the way to go. You will automatically look effortlessly chic and put together. The minimalist look is often loose-fitting and comfortable, which is a bonus to us fashion lovers. How can you not be obsessing over this trend??
