A Day in Denver

Fall is my favorite time of year. It is when oversized sweaters, trench coats, and boots come out to play for a couple of months. I am originally from Denver, Colorado and this past week I went home for fall break. Wanting to revisit my hometown and walk around downtown Denver, I decided to dress casual with an oversized turtle neck sweater, a leather mini skirt, and my comfortable black boot wedges. This outfit was perfect for the transition from summer to fall because it's still warm enough to show some legs but cold enough to have the fall vibe going on in your outfit. This sweater was a new purchase which I'm very excited about because it is featuring a kimono sleeve which is one of my favorite DNA's. This blog post I waned to show you guys some pictures of where I'm from so you can see a little bit of my background before I made the move to sunny Los Angeles about year ago. I hope you enjoy your trip throughout downtown Denver lovelies and check below where you could get some of the same items!

The Minimalist

The fashion world has a new focus on clean lines, structured shapes, and neutral colors. When it comes to looking stylish, the minimalist trend is the fashion forward option. The saying, "less is more" is really coming into play this season. When it comes to looking chic or sophisticated, simplicity is key - but don't confuse that with boring. Keep your color palette simple, with neutral grays, blacks, whites and nudes. This trend is exciting due to the architectural and structural shapes of each garment. In my opinion this is one of my favorite trends! Think trench coats, wide leg trousers, tailored jackets, the simple draped tank, or the matching loose-fitted two piece suit. The minimalist trend encourages us fashion lovers to focus on the cut, quality, and design of a garment. We are able to witness the beautiful lines, texture, and powerful structure within the clothes that speak for themselves. Investing in staple pieces are always the way to go. You will automatically look effortlessly chic and put together. The minimalist look is often loose-fitting and comfortable, which is a bonus to us fashion lovers. How can you not be obsessing over this trend??

Denim Days

Hello Lovelies! I apologize for not posting in awhile. Finals have officially consumed my life so I have been studying non-stop. But today I got a breath of fresh air and decided to put myself together. Besides the dramatic stages of finals lets talk about the outfit. So as us fashion lovers know denim is in and currently trending. I love anything oversized, especially jackets. It is a convenient statement piece you can just throw over any outfit. I matched my denim jacket with my high neckline crop top and a simple black pencil skirt. This look is very casual but still fashion forward. To add to the casual aesthetic I went with my black wrap booties. The heel is short so it's practical to wear this outfit almost anywhere. Enjoy and check out where you could get some of the same items!

That's so 70's

Honey, that's so 70's. Seeing as suede made its way into a plethora of garments or to flared pants making a comeback, the 70's have arrived! As we all know I'm obsessed with trends. I stay updated with blogs, what I see on the streets, and the numerous online subscriptions thanks to school. From what I have researched these are the following items trending: flared jeans, culottes pants, patch pocketing, long gathered lashes, lace up tops, button front midi-skirts, denim on denim, fringe skirts, matching tops & bottoms, and the clear chunky heel. It's time to dig through your closet and put the 70's trend to the test. Stay Groovy Baby.
